My Approach

My ability to gain an in-depth understanding of clients’ unique legal and business issues and my holistic approach to matters help me find and apply the best strategies to solve their problems.

Overview

Working on a variety of insurance recovery cases, Ruofei “Fay” Qu draws on her strong legal writing and reasoning skills to craft powerful arguments with foundations rooted in common sense. She enjoys applying her knowledge and insights to serve plaintiffs and help them secure the money they’re due.

Fay’s intellectual empathy boosts her natural aptitude for comprehending the perspectives and thought processes of both clients and opposing parties. She recognizes that clients almost always have valid reasons for feeling that they were wronged and strives to turn this sense of injustice into strong responses and creative solutions.

As a bilingual attorney, Fay is particularly attuned to word choice and ambiguities in language and context. When serving as a law clerk in the appellate arena, Fay interpreted texts and dove deep into trial records to discern how judges reached decisions. This insight informs her approach to insurance recovery, which require extensive scrutiny of underlying procedures, arguments and grounds for rulings.

Fay draws on her experience in handling complex jurisdictional issues— including those that manifested in several cross-border disputes—to address client matters. Her international background and comfort in interacting with people from many cultures serve her well in helping clients navigate complicated and unfamiliar legal systems.
