“Lead by example means teamwork, hard work and empowerment go hand in hand“
“Lead by example” is often a cliché or tagline; but for me it is a guiding principle. It means that we are in this together. It means that when I expect my team to fight zealously for our clients, but always within the bounds of ethics and integrity, it is because I am deeply committed to these values. It means that if I ask my team to take pride in their work, it is because I take pride in my work. And it means that if I ask my team to work over the weekend it is because a project is important and time sensitive, and not because of mismanagement. Rest assured, I make sure this happens rarely, and that I am working over the weekend too. I have found that this type of leadership not only leads to the best work product, but also fosters a work environment where people feel supported and empowered to take ownership over their work and develop professionally.
