My Approach

I've always enjoyed problem solving. Researching strategically and figuring out legal questions is like completing a puzzle—one that requires a lot of forethought and planning, creative thinking, and attention to detail. It’s gratifying to put all the pieces together to help clients overcome challenges and reach their objectives.

Overview

Jay Hauser handles an array of matters arising in insurance and commercial litigation, from initial complaint through appeals. He brings a deep appreciation for how insurance touches almost every aspect of our economy and so much of our daily lives.

Placing an emphasis on accuracy and precision, Jay keeps in mind that the choice of one word or the placement of one comma can potentially make all the difference in whether or not clients receive coverage for their claims. Always thinking multiple steps ahead, he also applies specificity to his analysis of how the facts at hand optimally plug into the legal equation.

With excellent communication skills and a diligent and measured approach, Jay enjoys working as a team player and strives to create a positive atmosphere in all his interactions. He finds that conducting himself with congeniality and diplomacy tends to procure the best resolutions for his clients but, when situations warrant, he can also advocate zealously.

Previously, Jay served as a judicial law clerk in the New Jersey Superior Court and as a judicial intern in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. These experiences gave him valuable insights into the workings of the judiciary, honed his research and writing skills, and solidified his habit of leaving no stone unturned when seeking information that could possibly strengthen clients’ cases.
